What you see here are strawberries and blackberries from Ella Bella Farm, and blueberries from Sierra Cascade. The fact that I adore Ella Bella's fruits and vegetables is well documented. And Sierra Cascade's blueberries celebrate the essence of everything that a blueberry should be. We live in a world that not only accepts artificial flavors and colors, but that also insists that all fresh fruit be bred to the hilt to emphasize sweetness over everything. Flying in the face of this pressure, each of the fruits shown above remind me of the what true fruit flavor should taste like: complex and sweet, but with some acid to balance out the flavor.
* The blueberries in this picture started out about double the amount, but the photographer found it necessary to snack as he took the photo. I can hardly blame him.
