An unabashed attempt to lure you back

Dirty Girl Early Girl Tomato

A few friends of mine have left the Bay Area this year, or are in the process of leaving for greener different pastures.  You know exactly who you are.  I only have one thing to say:  Joe's dry-farmed Early Girl tomatoes are back for the season.  Come home!

I just heard a window open up somewhere....

I'm so there!
Just give me a month or so (and please don't eat them all before I get there!).

I am down to just one bag of last year's left in the freezer.
Made ratatouille on monday with penultimate bag.
Just one jar of tomato chutney left too.
He's back just in time for me.

this year i want to can my tomatoes instead of freezing them. I think I will blame Barbara Kingsolver for that.

Sam--I wouldn't bother. I did some last year and they were a nightmare to process and tasted watery in the end. All the canners I know have come to freeze their tomatoes instead. Now sauce, that's worth canning...
